About Us

Our Founder

My name is Allyn Ann Simpson and I am the founder of the non profit organization, Defiantly Hopeful.
I went through 13 years of infertility including 5 IUI’s, 6 IVF Egg Retrievals and 7 embryo transfers to have my two kids.
In addition to being an infertility patient, I have also worked in the field as a nurse and now, nurse practitioner for over 15 years. One of the biggest issues I see in practice is having someone who would be a great candidate for IVF but they turn around and walk out of the clinic because they simply cannot afford the high cost of treatment.
This foundation was born out of the desire to make IVF available to as many families as possible. This foundation was created in CA during the years I lived there. I now happily reside in East Tennessee with my 2 IVF babies and our dog Winnie.

Defiantly Hopeful Foundation

We are now an official 501(c)3!!

What does this mean for you? It doesn’t change much for our applicants as it is just the entity changing who provides the check to the fertility clinic. The big way it changes things is for our foundation. We are now able to accept fully tax deductible donations which means we can fund MORE grants! We are excited for the new changes to our foundation and look forward to not only growing our non-profit, but growing families as well.
